Heart of the Absolute

Photographer Eoin McCarthy was given free rein and spent a week behind the scenes with the team of the Absolute to capture what happens
in the everyday life of the hotel.

The exhibition takes a snapshot of the team as they go about their duties looking after both locals and visitors while keeping the cogs of the hotel operation going. Showing the true spirit of the Absolute staff and their dedication to providing a home away from home experience for the guest.

Our guests recognise our friendly, efficient staff for its personal service, where attention to detail matters just as much as you, where what you see and experience on the outside is backed by a team that is hard-working, yet has a lot of fun, who shares mutual respect that makes the running of the hotel, for the most part, appear seamless. We as #TeamAbsolute pride ourselves on keeping a high standard so each guest leaves feeling happy

"The Absolute was great wish I had more time to enjoy the beautiful property on river. The staff were exceptional! Very walkable , but parking onsite also . Room was large and bathroom was also, loved the hotel!"

"Wonderful experience! Friendly staff, great room overlooking the city, staff is awesome and great about tips around the area. Lots of areas in the lobby to just hang out and work or read. Great location - very walkable - right on the river with several places to eat nearby. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Restaurant is also excellent, especially the beef dishes. Even as a solo traveler, they reserved a nice table overlooking the river."

"Stopped a couple of nights here in September and just about to check out. Nice welcome when I arrived and room is very clean and very nice.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Free secure car parking was a bonus when hotel is quite close to city centre.

Restaraunt was the best part for me. I wouldn’t usually eat in the hotel restaurant but usually go out looking for somewhere to eat. Gent on the evening was super friendly and efficient but biggest shout out goes to Lynda who served me breakfast, she was lovely and always had a welcoming smile.

All in all, I enjoyed my stay and will return next time in in the area"
